Questiones for OA

What is Open Access?

Open access (OA) is the practice of providing unrestricted, free online access to peer-reviewed scholarly research. OA journals follow 'gold' open access model, with all articles being immediately available to readers on the publisher's website without paywalls. The costs of publication are covered by article processing charges (APCs), which may be funded by authors, institutions, funders, or sponsors upon acceptance.

How do readers know articles are open access?

All OA articles are clearly marked with an 'Open' icon on both the full-text and PDF versions of the published work. Additionally, the type of Creative Commons license will be displayed on all formats of the article, and included in the article metadata.

Does publishing in AMP journals comply with my funding body’s requirements?

Yes. AMP journals' open access policies and services ensure compliance with the public access requirements of major funding bodies worldwide.
